The world famous Bushmills Whiskey Distillery is located here (just up the hill on the main road - turning right at the town centre if coming from Portstewart or Portrush). Here, you can enjoy seeing the malting, distillation and aging process up close and, perhaps most importantly, get to try one of the products you have seen being created.

This writer's personal favourite is the 16-year-old, but you can have fun finding your own favourite. The town itself is often overlooked in favour of its more famous and popular alternatives - Portrush and Portstewart - but Bushmills certainly has charm, and some great places to eat and drink, perhaps most notably the Bushmills Inn, which has Celtic music sessions during the week (check before going to make sure you get them on the right day).

You can get a bus from the town centre to the Giant's Causeway, or get a train from the single line track just off the main road to Portrush.
